3/23/14 - Day 17 - Only 14 days left!!!!!! Since Katie is so smart we were able to borrow the wheel chair again & she got to go down to breakfast this morning. We were instantly spotted by 3 other girls I had been watching for a while. Katherine (from New Zealand) started a chat with me at the omelet bar. (It seems she had noticed me coming in from the heat a few days ago & of course the restaurant.) She had her surgery last year. She came back for a facial reconstruction scheduled for tomorrow. One of the other girls is from Poland (didnt catch her name. Her accent was really thick). She is not behaving herself & therefore, is having some issues. The other girl is about my age, has long, thin, straight, white hair. Not sure why she is here because we have seen her in her bikini (ugh) at the pool. Havent heard from Haylee yet. Katie tried to call her & got no answer. Because our excursion was successful, Katie is now trying to figure out a way to get pizza. The folks in service havent a clue what a pizza is. Katie is sure there is a pizza place about 2 miles up the road from us. She wants to call a taxi, have them drive us there, & a get a pizza to take away. Now mind you, she has been given permission to walk down to breakfast only. The nurses have complained about the Polish girl not behaving & that they were going to have wash their hands of her. But, she is still trying to make this work. The storm never hit. Not even a cloud in the sky today. Our grilled ham & cheese sandwiches & chips were good. The bread reminded me of our Texas garlic cheese toast. I cant tell you the name of the cheese. Never heard of it & it wasnt on the wrapper. I got original lays chips & scallops flavor lays chips. Yep, thats right. The seafood scallop. Veeeerrrry interesting. We had the chicken for lunch today. I ordered fried rice & Katie had steamed jasmine rice. Added the chicken & yummo. A baby gecko visited us. Katie tried to catch it so we could release it back to the wild. Little sucker scampered under the sink & up under the back board. It was an itty bitty little thing. Its about 5:00pm & Whats for dinner is hanging in the air. I have posted all the pictures Katie & I have taken to far. Looks like she wont be able to go sight seeing for a least a week. Not too sure what I will come up with. TaTa for now. Love & Hugs to all.
