3:42 PM AST Tuesday 09 December 2014 Rainfall warning in effect for: P.E.I. Rain, at times heavy, is expected. An area of low pressure will deepen as it approaches the Maritimes this evening. Rain, heavy at times, will develop over western regions this evening then spread eastward overnight. Total rainfall amounts of up to 100 mm are possible by dawn Thursday. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected __________________________________________________ 3:48 PM AST Tuesday 09 December 2014 Wind warning in effect for: P.E.I. Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. Strong easterly winds gusting up to 90 km/h will develop Wednesday night as a deep low pressure system slowly approaches from the southwest. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
