3.9.2014 at 3:30 PM a delegate include Vice President of Union Myanmar Dr.Sann Mauk Khan,Immigration Minister U Khin Yi,Turkey Ambassador,Brunei Ambassador,Bangladesh Ambassador,a member of UNHCR,Chief Minister of Arkan state General Maung Maung Ohn and other authorities arrived Thet Key Pyin village,Sittwe township,Arkan and did a meeting with Rohingya communities in B.E.M.S Thet Key Pyin. U Khin Yi : There is no Rohingya in history of Myanmar and ethnic name of Bengali was decided by President Thein Sein.So we govt cant give you Rogingya.We will register you as Bengali according to 1982 law. Sann Mauk Khan:The word Bengali is just a name of ethnic.It doesnt mean that you migrated from Bangladesh. Isnt enough for you if give you the right of citizen and we register you as citizen of Myanmar with the name of Bengali.We dont want you to live in idp camp.We wanna develop you.You dont have job and your generations cant go to school and cant study education well here in idp camp.We are going to build factories and mills here in Arakan and you well get jobs and you will have the right of citizen if you accept registration of Bengali.We dont want Rakhinese communities to be angry and dont want you to be lost your rights.So need to negotiate and coordinate to solve your problems. Bangladesh Ambassador: We cant do anything without coordinating and participating govt in Myanmar.So I hope you will participate with govt and govt will try best for you.Ambassador of Turkey,Ambassador of Brunei and member of UNHCR also said like Bangladesh Ambassador said) Rohingya Community: We submit govt to repair and to change 1982 law.If we accept registration of Bengali,our history will be hidden in future and it will be worst for us and our generation.We strictly reject Bengali.(Note Rohingya communities werent allowed by authorities to ask more question and to speak for long time in meeting). Dr.Sann Mauk Khan:We are not forcing you to accept registration of Bengali.We are just urging you.It is your desire to choose.Think about your future.It wont be better to delay.If you wont accept registration of Bengali,it will take for long time solve the issue(Rohingya issue) Khin Yi :1982 law was formed by discussing all Parliament members in Lut Taw.But I promise that I would submit in Lut Taw to repair 1982 law.And then delegate left at 4:15 PM
