3 Artists of the Day - Monday ■ Tayala ■ Sulu Babylon ■ Nicole Moore __________________________________________________ ■■■ Tayala ■■■ BP Spiders From Mars : 16:15 - 16:45 TAYALA are a passionate and colourful electronica band. Latest release – ‘Blossom’ tayala facebook/tayalauk twitter/tayalaofficial soundcloud/tayala youtube/user/tayalaofficialOther ■■■ Sulu Babylon ■■■ Carling Green Bricks Stage: 22:30 - 23:00 Sulu Babylon are a powerhouse indie rock trio from the industrial port town of Goole in East Yorkshire “A great bipolarity lies within the music of Sulu Babylon. On one hand, yes, they are a power trio, distortion and thunderous drums ripping through their songs, yet on the other hand they’re also intensely emotional, almost to the point of mawkish sentimentality.” (Conard, C. Thebigtakover) Sulu Babylon have ventured throughout the UK and over to Europe, spreading their sounds as far and wide as possible with shows and a large extent of national and international radio play as well as featuring on UK TV. Sulu Babylon have three singles out so far, with an EP released on the 6th of June, “Sulu Babylon’s ‘Colour ‘ is my favorite thing right now” (Rock world magazine) followed by more UK and European dates. More releases this year, and talks are underway for playing Japan early in 2015. sulubabylon.co.uk facebook/sulubabylon twitter/sulubabylon soundcloud/sulu-babylon mtv/artists/sulu-babylon sulubabylon.bandcamp youtube/sulubabylon ________________________________________________________ ■■■ Nicole Moore ■■■ CDF Speak Easy Stage: 17:10 – 17.30 I’m Nicole and I’m 16 years old. I live in Cottingham and have had a passion for music all my life. I have been playing the guitar for around 5 years and have been singing ever since I learnt how to speak. I have many influences, all bands from the 60s onwards have been big influences for various reasons, and however Joan Jett was and still is the reason I ever wished to own a guitar. My biggest influence is Johnny Cash, his deep simple tones and his songs about things he saw walking down the street inspired me to try and achieve a wide range. I have an EP which I sell for £3 which contains 3 songs, two covers and one of my own. I have played a few gigs and festivals, such as Filey Folk Festival, the John Peel Tribute and the Dark Guitar. My next gig is supporting Rolan Bolan (Mark Bolan’s son). facebook/nicole.moore.35380399 twitter/nicole_moore961 youtube/channel/UCvsF0-CErKFPpdS3scf8zmg ____________________________________________________
