3 BOPEE officials collaborated with former Chairman SHABIR IBN YUSUF SmallerDefaultLarger Srinagar, Nov 23: Even as the main accused in CET paper scam, Mushtaq Ahmad Peer, was arrested on Saturday, the other associates inside BOPEE who managed to perpetrate the crime inside the institution still remain at large. Reliable sources told Greater Kashmir that at least three other employees of BOPEE were hand in glove with Peer in this scam. They said that these employees have remained in constant touch with Peer even after he was shifted from BOPEE. “There is a nexus between all these people,” sources added. An official of Crime Branch who is part of the investigation said, “We are investigating things.” The civil society in Kashmir has demanded punishment to Peer’s associates so that credibility of BOPEE is restored. They said such huge scam can’t be run by Peer only and he must be having associates in BOPEE. General Secretary, Civil Society Forum Kashmir, Dr Omar Tramboo said it is not possible that such a huge scam could be run by only Mushtaq Peer. “There must be more people from BOPEE involved in the scam,” Omar said adding that Crime Branch and Vigilance Organization must investigate the role of other BOPEE people. “They must ensure that not a single culprit goes free so that the credibility of the institution is restored.” Omar said that his Forum also demands stern punishment to those parents who have paid the money. “They are equally criminal and they should be dealt strictly,” he added. Noted educationist, G N Madhosh, said that it is impossible that such a huge scandal can be run by a single person. Madhosh said that stern steps against other people in the system will to some extent help in the restoration of credibility of the institution. A senior faculty member of Government Medical College Srinagar said, “In this whole shame, I see a candle of hope. The tainted could not corrupt the system in GMC Srinagar and failed miserably. Even their attempts to use other methods were strongly resisted.” Dr Hameeda Nayeem, who teaches at Kashmir University, said that there is corruption everywhere. “Our society is neck-deep in corruption,” she said adding that all the corrupt people should be punished. HUH.......HOW CAN WE THINK ABOUT OUR FUTURE WHEN THESE RASCLES ARE PRESENT THERE.......
