3 Ds of Ministry. Friends and family, Be aware that in ministry, for one to be efficient and effective, one needs to go through the following Ds. 1. DISCOVER. Until you get to a place where you discover what God has invested in your life, you will not fulfill your calling. It becomes very important for one to know what gifts have been bestowed upon one. One of the ways you can know what gift is in your life is, when somebody operates in the same gifting such as in you, you will be stirred up. Another way is, if one abuses or misuses the gift that is in you, you will be grieved. 2. DEVELOP. Any gift that is not developed is still in its infancy stages. Once you discover your gift, take time to develop it. A singer will spend hours upon hours practicing those notes. A guitarist will do the same. No fair amount of Development will take place without any fair amount of dedication. A preacher may have to preach a few sermons in front of a mirror, all by yourself, do the altar call, etc. 3. DEMONSTRATE. The final stage being the last, which is not necessarily the ultimate as one still needs consistency, excellence and discipline to keep it well oiled. Prayer is of the utmost importance in all these stages, more so on this level because one cannot afford to depend on experience. To demonstrate, may mean many things to many people. It may mean.. - to sing in front of multitudes, - to preach in front of a live audience, - to speak in front of multitudes. - to perform in front of a hard-to-please crowd. - to recite, etc. All the best to you as you follow these steps.
