Last May, 3-year-old Aubrey Castro was diagnosed with leukemia, according to ABC News. After Aubreys family found out that the government only allocates 3.8 percent of funding to pediatric cancer research, they decided to take initiative and raise money themselves by making and selling Mothers Day cards, ABC News reported. When Aubrey grows up she says she wants to be a mommy and an artist, a friend of the family wrote on Etsy. She has created a greeting card that you can purchase and share with that special woman in your life that you want to honor on this holiday. Theyve sold about 1,500 cards so far and hope to sell 2,014 by Mothers Day. If they dont reach their goal, they plan to continue selling the cards throughout the year for $5 on both St. Baldricks Foundations website and a friends Etsy store.
