3 days ago We arrivéd in new zealand, port opua, after almoost 3 weeks at sea since we left Tonga, me diogo, and kristelle. Had a wonderfull trip. The start from Tonga went a bit stressed. A tropical cyclone (hurricane) was arriving over Fiji, and was gonna give Some tof blows in vavau Tonga. We set all sails and doing more than 130 Miles per day, we where sailing as fast south as we could. Already on the first day, the gooshneck connections between the mast and the boom broke.but we where able to repair it. Later on it broke again, it was not to hard to repair it on roling plastic. We had a high pressure area with no wind arround us, for. 1 week no wind at 30 degrees south. (Almoost in new zealand), so the trip took langer than expected. We runt out of drinking water, but lucky enough we still had 1 watermaker wich saved our dear soals of dehighdration, happy to be in this wonderfull nature country, it is amazing here!!
