3 hours ago Bush and his administration pushed through eliminating the regulations on Wall Street and lending practices that set in motion the worst economic crash since the Great Depression. And the GOPs mantra is still non regulation of any type while at the same time cutting off unemployment checks and aid to those caught in the noose of the long term unemployment caused by their actions (or lack of it). And theres no indications of employment opportunities picking up soon and the Republicans know it, as well as the disturbing realities in this article, and will use it to their advantage in the up coming elections. The corporate lobby machine is in an all out war to get rid of the Frank-Dodd act passed through congress when Democrats were in control, that is designed to prevent the same chain of events and and soul less money changers from crashing the economy again, and they are weakening it a piece at a time by having the ear of the more corporate sponsored of those in Congress. The 2014 elections couldnt be more important to try and help increase employment and keeping over two million people, those who would be ordinarily be working, from worsening conditions affecting every aspect of their lives and their families.
