3 hours up to Childrens Mercy, 2 hour appointment with orthopedics, 1 hour pit stop at Dave and Busters, and 3 hours back! It was a long day, but he was such a good boy all day long. (Not to mention the 4 hour appointment we had Tuesday) Total trooper, and did great for all his x-rays. A well deserved dinner at his favorite place. We got good news about his spine! There is/was a very small fracture in part of his spine, but nothing we can do about it, and is causing no pain or damage. Spondylitis is a condition that apparently is genetic and you are pre-dispositioned to. Apparently this is more common than one would think (But is very rare in 5 year olds....HA!), it will not require a back brace, and is something we will continue to check once or twice a year. It is not something they expect to change or get worse....and he can jump on the trampoline!! Glory to God.....whew!
