3 mobile division CEOs in 3 years and theyre about to make it a 4th, but hey iPhone haters... Dont read too much into that! I mean, after all, LOTS of companies fire CEOs when everything is going great, right? Lol! Ive written this time and time again in this spot: Samsungs partnership with Googles Android OS will be their undoing. Samsung is a good company and they make good hardware but, since they do not make the operating system of their mobile phones, they are at the mercy of Googles approach and philosophy. Google is so desperate to out do Apple that they are first to market with badly sketched out and poorly designed and implemented new phone features that make Samsung feel like a pretty crappy phone. Apple is hardly. ever first to market but, when they implement something into the iOS environment it works perfectly. Samsung has these phones that because of their operating system, have earned a reputation for being buggy. The article of the woman with the galaxy S5 Who tracked how many times a day she had to take the battery out and reboot the operating system because of a crash comes to mind, I believe the number was 11. This is what happens when you have a company like Google implementing elements of their operating system that they have not fully vetted. Apple doesnt make that mistake. And thats why theyre number one. And so now, yet another guy is going to get fired as the CEO of their mobile division and yet another guy is going to be placed in charge of a division whos biggest problem has nothing to do with Samsung its self: as long as Sampson is married to Google for their operating system on their mobile Devices, they are worldwide sales will never come anywhere close to what Apple is doing. If they had any real courage at all, they would do exactly what Apple does and hire their own team, create their own operating system billed to their standards which are admittedly high. But instead, they work with Google and they allow Googles lack of polish to taint the experience of owning a Samsung mobile device. A year and a half ago I said that as long as Sampson was married to google they would always be number two but I was wrong: apparently, according to the new sales figures, Sampson isnt even number two worldwide anymore? Thats pretty bad. Meanwhile, analysts are predicting an Apple will sell over 70 million iPhone sixes in this quarter alone. Hey Sampson, the writing is on the wall! Time to design your own operating system and throw the Google anchor off the ship. Just saying.... :-)
