3 mobility drills to help your Overhead Squat. The OHS does a great job of exposing any mobility restrictions you may have so its a mega assessment tool as well as being the heart of the snatch! Learn it :) Rules of mobility #1 If it feels sketchy, it is sketchy. Dont go into the pain cave. #2 Always mobilise in the position of restriction. Understand what is compromising your position and movement and mobilise. Dont throw 20 mobs at it and just keep guessing. #3 Exaggerate reality. If you are trying to improve ankle dorsi flexion then really work to get that knee over the toe. #4 Test and re test. Otherwise how do you know if you are getting any better?? #5 No days off! Prioritise your mobility just as much as your prioritise your training - they compliment each other! Most people dont value soft tissue work till they get injured - then its too late!
