3 rehearsals of Crime Scene Chicago: Let Hope Rise 2014 left before we go into tech and then our opening performances at COLLABORACTION July 31, Aug. 1 and 2nd before touring the show to Englewood, Austin, Loyola Park and Bronzeville with Peace Rally Fridays (BBQ, Dome of Dance, Town Hall discussion and more). Just cut 3 scenes and added 3 new ones. We are getting there. Trying to focus on stories of hope and change. Trying to create theatre that gets the middle and upper class Chicagoans from all neighborhoods to see that turning around 200 years of economic disparity is everyones calling. Trying to learn from our 22 fourteen year olds in the Crime Scene Youth Ensemble that are re-mixing last years tour script. Trying to be a part of the Solution. Hope youll join me, Chicagoans. Let hope rise, with healing right behind.
