3 years ago today Codi and I landed on Guam. I didnt have any expectations and didnt know much about it, and as our sponsor took us down through Tumon on our way to our hotel I started feeling a little overwhelmed. But the next morning when I woke up, looked out across the ocean, I felt this calm that I hadnt experienced. I have loved Guam every single day that Ive been here. Its changed me, made me a better person, given me experiences I needed and Ive learned life isnt to serious. Not to mention Ive met the most amazing people and have created memories here that Ill never forget. As we get ready to leave, some days I feel like Im clawing at the sand in an effort to stay, even though I know itll never help. Im excited about our new adventure and seeing the west coast for the first time.. But Im going to miss Guam so much and wish I could have another 3 years here.
