The 433 Lahav (National Crimes and Corruption) Unit this morning arrested 14 suspects and detained another seven for questioning on suspicion of operating a professional global money laundering ring that laundered hundreds of millions of shekels from illegal drug business and other criminal activity. At the same time, in coordination with law enforcement authorities in the US and Europe, suspects were arrested overseas, including eight in Belgium. Corruption is everywhere but every day there is more poverty.
