30 D.A.R Devotional 03-Nov-2013 GIVE NO ATTENTION: Ps. 112:1-10, Ps. 25:15 Point verse: Psalm. 112:7 He shall not be afraid of the evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord (KJV). While growing up, I had a habit of focusing on the sound of anything that passed, and moved. At night, it was my nature and this brought about great fear in me, even what never existed I would imagine it was standing behind me. Glory to God, I overcame that. When you fill your heart with thoughts of how evil and wicked the enemy is, you give them control over you. Your main thought should be of how mighty and wonderful our God is. The thoughts of his faithfulness and his might should fill your thoughts. Don’t give your attention to the vices of the enemy. The enemy has been around for many years and is still present. To be a victorious Christian you cannot be preoccupied with the enemy and what he is doing. What you need to do is ignore the devil and remember where you are placed in Christ Jesus. Remember what God has said concerning you, how that no weapon formed against you by any enemy can prosper Isaiah 54: 17. Fix your mind on how God has given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions (Luke 10: 19). Let me share a story of a powerful man of God, who got up late at night to get something from the fridge. Suddenly he noticed seated on the rocking chair, a devil shaped figure and he said, “Oh it’s you devil” and he went back to bed. I am sure you are surprised and wowed. That’s how it’s supposed to be for a believer. That man of God understood the believer’s authority; that is what made him qualified to be powerful. That was also the reason he triumphed over the enemy. Scripture says, we should be sober and vigilant (1 Pet 5:8) not fear the devil. Know who you are in Christ, why he came (1 John. 3: 8) and fear no more. Give no attention to the enemy, you have been worrying about it for too long and it’s tending towards depression. Remain firm in adversity, trials and tribulation and watch God transform your life. Give no attention to the devil keep your thoughts fixed on the most high and forward you shall continually go in Jesus Name, Amen. Prayer: Heavenly Father, my eyes are fixed on thee give to me today victory in all affairs of my life In Jesus Name. Amen
