30 Days of Praying for the Men in our Lives TOPIC FOR DAY ONE: His Relationship with God (John 3:16-17; Hebrews 3:14; James 4:8; Proverbs 23:26; 1 Chronicles 28:9; 1 John 5:12; John 15:7) Key Verse: “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.” ~Deuteronomy 6:4-6 Today’s Prayer: Dear Father, I praise and worship You today for being my God, my Lord and my King. I thank You for hearing and answering my prayers and I thank You for Your presence in my life. I pray now for (insert his name). I ask Lord that he would love you with all of his heart, soul and strength and that Your commandments would be written upon his heart (Deuteronomy 6:4-6.) I pray that he will understand in a very powerful way the need that he has for You to be his Father and that he would be comfortable talking with you and desiring to know You more through Your word. May he be able to say that he has partnered up with you and that he will hold on to confidence until the end. (Hebrews 3:14) May He realize the impact of drawing close to You and be able to feel You drawing close to him in return. (James 4:8) I pray Father, that he will completely devote himself to You, observe Your ways and follow all of Your directions. (Proverbs 23:26) I ask that (insert name) not wander from You for one day and if that does happen, may he recognize the cry of his heart for You and cling to You all the more. As his relationship flourishes with You, may he mirror the image of Your Son and may it be clearly evident to those around him that he is a child of God. I thank You for the promise that as He abides in You, You will abide in him and You will hear and answer his prayers. (John 15:7) I pray this in the powerful name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, my Savior.
