30 Days of Thankfulness, #2: Thankful to live in OXFORD - a community that rallies for charities (girlfriend walks), for sports teams (way to go, OJW Freshman Gold on your A-W-E-S-O-M-E Super Bowl victory today!), and for friends who need a hand (wood party 2013 at Greene Acres this week). I grew up in Troy, a great place, no doubt.... but for all its bells and whistles, Troy never possessed the heart this small town does. I love knowing that even when my kids are out of MY sight, they will be in the sight of someone who knows them (and knows ME). I love how O-Town has parades and festivals, celebrates their youth, and organizes events to aid those in need. I love how coaches are family, and teachers are mentors even when you bump into them at the (only) grocery store. There is no place else I would like to raise this family -- and no place else I could feel such a sense of (extended) family with all the fantastic ties we have formed with other residents over the last nine years of being here. Were from Oxford, couldnt be prouder. If you cant hear us, well yell a little louder
