30 Mar 2014 There is one thing I believe our enemy, Satan, uses to rob us of joy and peace. That thing is anxiety. As I read Paul’s letter to the Philippians, I notice that he said, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” What did he say? “Be anxious for ‘NOTHING…’” Jesus also spoke concerning anxiety when He gave the “Sermon On The Mount.” He said, “…I say to you, do not worry about your life…which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” He then said, “For you heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” When we examine the words of Jesus and Paul there is but one conclusion that we can reach: “Don’t worry.” I have discovered through the years that I can trust God with everything. There is nothing outside of His reach and concern. I have seen Him meet every need and do it abundantly. He has healed the sick and given miracles that still cause me rejoice. Child of God, Paul wrote that when you trust God the “…peace of God…will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” The peace that God will give you “…surpasses all understanding.” “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubles, neither let it be afraid.”
