30 RHU Undergrads Win Scholarships Rafik Hariri University recently awarded scholarships to 30 new undergraduate students. New RHU students from across Lebanon won scholarships of 40 – 100% of their tuition for their complete three-year university degree program. Twenty two students won Merit scholarships based on strong academic performance, high SAT I or RHU Entrance Exam scores, and high scores on the official Lebanese Baccalaureate II exam. Another eight students received Competition Scholarships by winning a contest held each spring during the RHU Open House. Students competed in mathematics, logical reasoning and essay writing. Merit scholarship winners are: Darin Abdul Khalek from Chouiefat, Samir Ahmar from Saida, Anas Al Shaghouri from Baabda, Kamar Al Yaman from Beirut, Montaha Al Kotob from Saida, Hassana Al Nakash from Beirut, Noureddine Barakeh from Saida, Nabil Bleibel from Saida, Hosny Dia from Beirut, Mariam Al Sarji from Saida, Mohamad Hamadi from Saida, Ali Hammoud from Saida, Leen Hariri from Saida, Liliane Hawi from Beirut, Zaher Huneineh from Saida, Ragheed Huneineh from Saida, Yehya Jebbawi from Choueifat, Lama Kassem from Ein Anoub, Ola Khalife from Ghazieh, Mariam Naja from Beirut, Karim Natout from Saida and Aya Zaidan from Beirut. Competition Scholarship Winners are: Lama Abdallah from Beirut, Abdel Rahman Akra from Saida, Basima Antar from Saida, Ruba Bizri from Saida, Ghina Hneini from Beirut, Jude Kaidbey from Beirut, Kahled Al- Kurdi from Beirut, and Fatima Al Moukaddam from Saida. Both Merit and Competition scholarships are valid for the duration of study towards an undergraduate degree, as long as the students continue to meet the RHU Scholarship Renewal Criteria.
