30 sec Playback of MP3 Version of a Story from Tayo Solagbades Kukuru Danger book https://youtube/watch?v=QGBmNDymp_U This video shows a RADIO/USB/SD PLAYER that uses a rechargeable battery - with a card reader plugged into it, and playing back. The voice you hear is mine, as I narrated one of the 5 stories featured in my latest book titled Kukuru Danger. Its available as a digital book, and also in paperback form that can be shipped to buyers doorsteps from my online store at lulu/sdaproducts On Monday (8th September 2014) morning, 2 days ago, I handed over the MP3 card reader sticking out from the players side in the above video. It contained a 4GB memory card in which I’d copied the 11 audio versions of the stories from the new book to my kids. Apart from this rugged player (note how worn out/battered theyve made it!), each of the kids has an MP3 playing head phone, with rechargeable battery and slot for a memory card. I bought each child a brand new one in January (9 months ago). But only 2 of those headphone players are still fully functional. In other words, my wonderful kids have damaged the other 3! Rather than buy them replacements, I want them to feel the pain of failing to properly care for what they are given. So, I’m making them share the above shown player – which has so far withstood their rough handling. When I left the house, they showed little interest in listening to the MP3 narratives. But by the time I came back home late at night, even my 8 year old daughter was excitedly telling me that she’d listened up the point, where I described how I and my school mates stole money from the slot machines in an Igbo trader’s shop, then jumped into an approaching LSTC (Lagos State Transport Corporation) bus to make our getaway! The incident she referred to happened in 1980. I was 10 years old at the time, in my first year in Government College Ojo-Lagos (where LASU is today), and had joined a gang of much older boys notorious for doing all sorts of naughty things in and out of school.
