30 to 30: A list, in no particular order, of my most favorite things in the world. Thirty Of My Most Prized Possessions: Fozzie Bear – I received him for Christmas from my Ma’maw Harris at the age of three and he went everywhere with me for years. Desk – My daddy made this for me for Christmas when I was in seventh grade. It is my most prized. Ma’maw’s Christmas Village – One of the only things I have of hers. She loved the holidays and I feel that is where a lot of my Christmas joy comes from. Santa and Mrs. Claus – These were made by my great aunt and I when my mom was a teenager. Grandmothers Christmas Tree – I have my Grandmother Dugger’s Chirstmas ornaments from the 50’s and 60’s some of which my dad made and her and my Grandad’s first ornament from 1949. Grandmothers Tea Pitcher – I have drank many of glasses of tea from this, today it sits on my cabinet and I think of her whenever I see it. I can no longer use it for its true purpose because I tried it once and cried. Nell Towel - when I was three and four I was obsessed with Nell Carter from “Gimmie A Break”, an old tv show. Why, I still do not know. But in the show credits she would swing a dish towel around, and my mamaw thought it was funny when I would do it, so she gave me an old towel to swing and I still have it. Grand Ole Opry shirt – I wore this shirt till I couldn’t anymore, now it is nicely folded in the cedar chest. All state cast medal – I won all state cast my senior year of high school. Thespian medal – I wore this proudly when I graduated high school. Bible – I have several of these, but my most favorite and most used is the bible my Aunt Barbara and Uncle Larry (my other parents) gave me when I graduated high school. Santa collection – I have over 100, and some are very special to me, some are wonderful gifts and some are from the dollar tree! Tooth pick bridge – An assignment in the 9th grade, my dad and I worked for hours on this and it won! Vintage china – I found this collection at an estate sale, and it isn’t high price its just perfectly chad. Im still searching for the missing pieces to make it a complete set. Grandads business card – We found these after my grandmother passed and there were just enough for all the grandkids and kids to have one. Even though I never knew him, he still played an important role in my life, so this is very special to me. First Mary Anne Radmacher art – A gift from the bestie about learning and perseverance and life. And its personalized. I will always have it in a prominent spot in my home. Nursing license - I had to work hard for that! And I try to remind myself daily how important it is. Cross from Koby – I collect crosses and this one was a gift from one of my gymnast. It is a great cross and it is even more special because of who it is from. Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook – I have used the heck out of this thing! Best pecan pie recipe ever! Blue fruit bowel – A 25th birthday gift to myself. It looks old, but it is just a hobby lobby special! My lamp – This belonged to my great grandmother and sat in the same spot in my grandmothers house my entire life. I always thought it was so cool, now I brought it home and have to figure out a way to actually make it cool. Blue mason jar – a gift from my grandmother this past summer. It also came from my great grandmother. Photo of my brothers and I and our dog hunter – we had just gone fishing and my dad snapped this photo, we have on cowboy hats and huge smiles! This photo sums up what I think of my childhood. Photo of siblings with grandmother – Taken less than 2 weeks before she died, it is a photo from a day I will always remember. Music collection - I have a massive amount of albums, I love all genres of music and my collection is very random. First guitar – my brave parents bought this for me for Christmas when I was five! Senior yearbook – I loved this yearbook, I worked hard to make it what my 18 year old mind thought was perfect. Now, I certainly realize it isn’t and a lot of people were left out because its mostly a chad and his friends book, so today it also serves as a wonderful lesson. Vase from Bobby Powell – Our dearest friend since elementary and my college roommate, he took a pottery class once and gave me a piece he made, it still sits on my shelf! Friends DVD’s – This show just makes me happy. I watch the series over and over. 16th birthday watch – A gift from the Dugger Family when I turned 16.
