30 years ago today I took a girl from my freshman English class to a party at my Univ of Dayton dorm. She was not my first choice, she knows this. We ran into each other the night before while I was waiting outside her dorm for a girl who never showed up. We spent several hours talking and I figured why not invite her to accompany me (classy guy, I know!) Five years later, and many parties, dinners, dances and dates down the road, I married that same girl. We made many promises, had lots of dreams and wishes for our future so many years ago! 25 years later many of those dreams and wishes have fallen by the wayside, pushed aside by the reality of work and bills and a life that isnt always a fantasy. But, the promise to see it all TOGETHER, HAND -in- HAND has remained! November 5, 1983 it never dawned on me that I was introducing my dorm mates to the woman of my dreams. November 5, 1988 I could only imagine a life of 25 years together! 30 years developing a bond, a friendship, a LOVE that cant be fully described in words. You mean so much to me. You have given me your heart and soul. the support to find myself...even when I wasnt sure where to look. I would be lost without you! Thank you for lighting my way! I LOVE you so much and look forward to skipping hand-in-hand with you for the next 25!
