30 years ago today, this little song, already an oldie, was captured on tape by Kenny from Crazy Music, while running sound at a rowdy Mizzou Homecoming Concert we played from a stage set up in front of Jones Hall. That tape was promptly lost for many years. In 2005, the tape was found, and my friends at Sounds Unreel Studios in Memphis worked some magic to undo 21 years of heat, humidity and improper storage. The restored version ended up on International Pop Overthrow, Vol. 8 in the fall of 05, and on iTunes a little bit after that. Thanks, Matthew Collier, Brian Mitchell, Michael Astrachan, & Bill Joslyn for rocking the snot out of that song with me! And thanks Dawn Hopkins and Don Smith for bringing it back to life after it had been buried in an attic!
