30 years sounds like a long time. Somewhere around 3 decades (10 years for the Jersey guys), 360 Months, or 131400 days ago many of us were exposed to this game called Photon. During that time, we played many games, spent lots of money, developed some close friendships (and enemies), and taught some of us how to be better leaders or followers. This is something that most would say you would learn in college, or maybe during your high school years. And, maybe if you were lucky enough like me, it did happen during all those events. Though, after 30 years or so; have you gone back to a high school reunion, a college reunion/event, or taken time to stop for just a moment from your current life and share something with folks from your past ... Fortunately, agaom, Ive done all of the above and its always an amazing experience. But this weekend, I got to spend time sharing something with people who, in normal social circles or geography, I would have never known if I didnt play Photon. Razorback (David B) said it best when he told me how great it is that all these different types of people from different races, income levels, etc could come together and become friends. Well, except those that are MASONS :) Through tournaments, traveling, and just taking chances, Ive met many of you folks. Someone said to me, how do you know all these people this weekend, AND, how do you remember their names? (ok, not faces, yall have gotten old) For me its an easy answer; They are all great people, Except for Steve(Nexus) it was the jingle balls that keep him in mind. So much to say about so many people; Im afraid Ill forgot someone and then YOU will think I forgot about you :) Ok, this is getting deeper (longer) than I had anticipated (maybe the Tequila kicking in) I really just wanted to share some random thoughts and thanks generally; but got sidetracked. Anyways, great weekend, thanks to Marc and Jason for pulling it together. All the guys who built straps, belts, tested equipment(oh that was hard) and just did many of the behind the scene things that helped this event take place. Though, there is one person I also want to single out; because he had probably the most thankless task this weekend ... Getting all the people into the games. BHODI LI (Randy M) ... Working to get us in to play as many games as possible, balancing the new/old players, teaching the staff how to work the ET, and really; finding a way to juggle so many Photon personalities and EGOs. The guy did a good job. Thanks Randy.
