300,000 Children in California have one or both parent - TopicsExpress

300,000 Children in California have one or both parent incarcerated? Praise God for these nuns that started a busing program for children to go and visit their Moms and Dads behind bars. When I was an inmate at the Ohio Reformatory for Women there was a program through the Girl Scouts that brought the girls in for food and crafts with their mommys once a month on a bus. Licking County Children services would not permit my little girl Amelia to participate but I witnessed the healing power that this had for my Mom friends in prison with me to make a change and work hard while they served their time due to this. We also had a program called B.O.N.D.S. for Moms and Sons that once again Licking County, Insane out of order children services(Eric Shaw Case Worker- Judge Hoover Licking County Juvenile Probate), would not allow my son Alexander to participate in even after my many many hand written letters from prison to the judge and LCCS documenting all programming I was voluntarily taking while in prison. I had no charges concerning my children? I was able to see the beauty of how these programs helped both parent and child!!! I pray that all Moms and Dads that are about the right thing while behind bars and when they come home are able to reunify with their babies and that they do not lose them horrifically to the flawed system as I have. This is one area that my In the Name of Justice nonprofit is committed to assist with! Joshua Lint, Kandice Hairston, Richard Cook In the name of justice Oakhouse Films
