30Dec2014 - Liam had an early morning clinic visit for blood work, - TopicsExpress

30Dec2014 - Liam had an early morning clinic visit for blood work, followed by his Glofil-125 test and a platelet transfusion in preparation for tomorrows scans/biopsy that will be under anesthesia. All of the tests he is going through these next two weeks are in preparation for Stem Cell Transplant. The Glofil test is to check his kidney function. This was the first time he has undergone that test. Tomorrow he will have multiple CT scans as well as a bone marrow biopsy. He has undergone both of these procedures in the past. Unfortunately, he will not be able to eat or drink until after the tests are completed...and that wont be until late afternoon. Fortunately, he wont remember much of it because he will be under anesthesia. Liam ate better today than yesterday and was more content today than yesterday. He also napped on my lap in the middle of a bright and busy hallway and again on the way home and again once he got home. He was a trooper during a long day. We did have some fun moments playing with talking Thomas trains, a Cars flashlight, and a new solar powered penguin (thank you, prize closet!). Prayer Requests: 1) 12/31 anesthesia, CT scans, bone marrow biopsy 2) 1/2 more anesthesia, MRI scans 3) readiness for Stem Cell Transplant (physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally)
