31 / 08 / 2014 BHAVANA / MEDITATION / MENTAL CULTURE: The sanskrit word Bhavana means Meditation. Meditation means controlled and disciplined mind marinated with a new and fresh positive habits of thinking, new and fresh way of seeing the out side world, and calm and peaceful way of being. Meditation is a pre-condition for gaining higher sense of cognitive awarenes, sharper mind, logical mind, moral mind, open and receptive mind in order to see the truth and to accept the truth without fear....... such as the Truth of Death as imminent by product of Birth . Meditation is surely not to make our mind numb, dull, and blink so that we are not much bother by the outside world and other worldly situation. Meditation is not to make ourselves more passive and less sensitive to the outside world. Rather, Meditation is to make our mind pristine clear, sharp, active, wholly aware, deep thinking, rational and logical mind, highly sensitive at the cognitive level as well as constructive emotions such as LOVE and COMPASSION, fearless to accept the truth and contented mind rest on the seat of inner joy and serenity without need to indulge with sensory stilumation for us to me crazily happy for a minutes / for awhile and then back to crazily unhappy again. MEDITATION PRACTICE IS NECESSARY FOR ALL HUMAN BEINGS IN ORDER TO REDUCE MAN-MADE PAIN and SUFFERING, and TO INCREASE JOY and HAPPINESS, and HARMONY. Prayers
