31 Days of The Decemberists Im deciding to share with everyone my love for The Decemberists. Each day in December I will be posting a song by them and a little background on why I like it. I hope you give it a listen and let me know what you think! Day 1: The Infanta: This is the song the first got me into The Decemberists. I remember hearing that initial drum build up and then it broke into this amazing hectic driving force that contained words in the lyrics like palanquin, largesse, and chaparral. I was hooked.
