31 miles to Washington DC Im finally here. I made it to Gainesville VA I had a great run fighting through heavy traffic, hills, head wind and a tight shoulders but it didnt slow me a bit. I was pleasantly surprised by Julie and Wesley Lukehart who met me on the side of the highway with a sign, enthusiasm and a shirt from their school. They took me out for a great dinner and conversation and then got me a room at the Hampton Inn. Very special people I really appreciate. Also met Zack and Zeke Lam who gave me a book and wished me well. I also want to thank Maria Squitieri for her help in our run and look forward to running on the beach with her this December in Florida. Appreciate Cadence at the Hilton for lowering our rate. Big day tomorrow in Washington DC followed by meetings on Wednesday. I was informed our letter would be personally delivered to the President, I thank my Mom for her help on preparing the letter, Terry Hitchcock and Joe Johnson for getting the contacts. I pray we make a huge impact for our Veterans and appreciate so much their sacrifice to our country. Have a blessed night everyone
