The materials to be discussed will be purchased by the instructor with the prepaid fee and will be distributed to each student the day of the class. Dynamics of Drawing – 4 Weeks Dates: Monday July 28, August 4, 11, 18 Time: 9:10-10:40am Cost: $62 (Class Fee $52 Materials $10) Ages: 8 and up Students will learn about the basic drawing elements of line, shape, value, and composition and will create weekly projects with what they learn. Students are to bring their own graphite pencils, erasers and colored media (crayons, markers, and or colored pencils) to class. Step by Step Drawing: Reptiles & Amphibians – 5 Weeks Dates: Monday July 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18 Time: 10:45-11:55am Cost: $58 (Class Fee $50 Book $8) Ages: 6 and up After having step-by-step instruction of subject matter, students will create their own composition incorporating the animal of the day. Students are to bring their own graphite pencils, erasers and colored media (crayons, markers, and or colored pencils) to class. Grid Drawing – 5 Weeks Dates: Monday July 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18 Time: 12:00-1:00pm Cost:$65 (Class Fee $50 Book/Material $15) Ages:12-up Children will be taught the grid drawing method that allows them to replicate subjects from existing images, such as photographs, by using grids. . Students are to bring their own graphite pencils and erasers and to class. Also by second class students are to bring a ruler and a black and white image to replicate. Scratchboard Drawing – 5 Weeks Dates: Monday July 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18 Time: 1:15-2:25pm Cost: $58 (Class Fee $50 Material $8) Ages: 12-up This drawing medium will be explained and instructed, revealing the final effect of scratchboard drawing and how it resembles that of wood engraving. Principles of Perspective - 5 Weeks Dates: Wed July 23, 30, August 6, 13, 20 Time: 9:30-10:40am Cost: $65 (Class Fee $50 Book/Material $15) Ages: 12-up Creating the illusion of depth with one, two, and three point perspective drawing methods will be instructed. Students are to bring their own graphite pencils, erasers and rulers to class. Step-by-Step Drawing: Cars & Trucks – 5 Weeks Dates: Wed July 23, 30, August 6, 13, 20 Time: 10:45-11:55am Cost: $58 (Class Fee $50 Book/Material $8) Ages: 6-up After having step-by-step instruction of the subject matter, students will create their own composition incorporating the vehicle of the day. Open Drawing – 5 Weeks Dates: Wed July 23, 30, August 6, 13, 20 Time: 12:00-1:30pm Cost: $65 Ages: 12-up Students are welcome to come to these sessions with any drawing project of their own while having instructor guidance on hand to help develop their skills.
