31years ago on this date 10-19-82 it was a Tuesday evening,my family (wife Mildred,daughters Lisa 10 Gina & Tina 16months were in our home at Ft.Wainwright Alaska.About 6:30 after dinner the wife said she wasnt feeling good and was going to lay down.A short time later Lisa came downstairs and told me mommy said her water broke.After calling a neighbor (Angela Smith)to keep an eye on the girls I took the wife to Darnell ARMY Community Hospital where at 7:19pm she delivered a healthy 7lb 6oz,19in baby boy with a head full of reddish brown hair.They asked if I knew what his name would be and of course I said its Alan Michael Chambers.In a little while one of the nurses told me that since he was the only male baby born at the hospital that day they gave him the nick name of Mr.Al a name that we all called him most of his childhood days.HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON,you were a blessing and joy to me on that day,and today you still are the same.Wouldnt trade you for the world son,you are my pride,joy,and friend.Love U son!
