32 Years Ago this week Entering the Wyoming Basin... Just when one thought it couldnt get any better than the Rocky Mountains from Missoula, Montana through Yellow Stone National Park; here we are Thrown and Thrust out into the Basin. Riding in a South Easterly direction, with as far as you can see to the East, and the Snow Cap Rockies fading slowly with each turn of the Pedal to the West, I came to realize just how Diverse and Beautiful America really is; and also realized this experience was trumping ANY US Geography Class I ever wasted my time in since the first grade... The reality of being 20 years old, on a bicycle (with now up to 50 lbs. of gear, food and water), with around $225, and who knows how many miles from home had not set it yet...there was no time for it to set in... ...there were places to go, places to see, people to meet and then there was Muddy Gap, Wyoming. Im guessing most folks never heard of Muddy Gap, Wyoming unless you live in Muddy Gap, Wyoming. We lived there for one day... ...and I will always remember it. Im going to post about it tomorrow, then get into some really cool stuff between here and the Colorado Rockies in the next couple of days. Stay tuned...
