33 year old professional with good boundaries and a silly sense of humor seeks housing in San Mateo or Palo Alto area. (Massive f-ing post below.:p) About me: I just moved here from New Orleans for a Brand Ambassador position with an awesome Winery. After staying a week with my Mother I am now very hot to trot to find new housing with peers who will not criticize my choice of milk (among other things.) Other random bits….Most of my arm muscles are from hugging, I am a dance aficionado (salsa, tango, ecstatic dance,) and in my previous incarnation I ran a business that wove my background in dance and body psychotherapy into classes/workshops. I am not super social unless it is with people I care about like friends, a sweetie, or housemates. So no wild parties…Lol. However, if there is a moment to play, whether it’s joking around in the kitchen, or being silly, I’m all in. Schedule: I will be starting my job on Wednesday and am still getting an idea of the schedule myself. I’ve been told I will be travelling occasionally to OR and WA so would be away from the house for a few days sprinkled here and there. Otherwise the schedule seems to include working from home for bits, and then spending long days commuting around CA doing wine tastings. (Come get some free samples:p) It is probable that I will be working most weekends and have two weekdays off. Habits: I’m clean but not anal about it. In the past I’ve lived with up to 25 people at a community house and also owned my own houses which I shared with roomies. So, long story short, while I like to cook I also do the dishes. I can be a sensitive sleeper, so would prefer if my roomie downstairs wasn’t rocking heavy metal at bed time. I promise to do the same.) I would also love the freedom to have a friend over here or there or a boyfriend (if I acquire one,) so rules like “no sleepover guests,” would not work for me. However, if I do have a sweetie in the future I would not have them sleepover more than twice a week or whatever is agreed on. I’m looking to move in somewhere anywhere between Feb 1st and March 1st. Like I said, I’m staying with my Mom so if it’s an odd move in date that’s fine. (However, if it’s March 1st I might not have any hair left by then.) As for rent, I’m at an entry level job now so around 700 would be amazing or lower if possible. (I’ve found a few rooms for $550, but I know that is certainly the exception and not the rule.) Please don’t hesitate to ask me anything you’d like, and if I seem like a good match of course I would like to know more about you and/or who I would be living with.
