33 years ago I married the kindest, sweetest, most loving and hard working man Ive ever met. I was still a teenager when we married and a student nurse. My nurse director took me aside and told me that statistically if I married before I qualified I wouldnt ever finish my training. From then until I passed my finals I was top of my class (always been stubborn!!) I was then the only newly qualified RN they had ever recruited to work in ICU. Meanwhile Martin was starting his engraving business. Working 14 hour days. 2 kids close together and we became a parent tag team! I worked the nights while he had the kids and he worked the days. We were a team though! I have lost both of my parents, he has lost his sister and many animal loves and losses. We moved to America, almost lost everything through job loss. Martin almost died and scared the crap out of all of us! We were (almost) always a team!! When one of us was down the other held them up. Now we are grandparents to our wonderful Chloe, and parents to our amazing children Victoria Byrd and Matt Groves. See I told you all when I met him when I was 15 it would last!!!!!!!!! Lol.
