33 years (and about 3.5 hours) ago Tim and Keiko Purdy welcomed their new baby girl into this world in the small town of Corvallis, OR. My mom named me Mai because of the light snowflakes that danced outside the hospital window. (Mai means to dance gracefully in Japanese.) My dad was 27 when I was born, and he recalls bawling like a child when the doctor handed me to him- he was terrified that he might drop me. Today I woke up in Pacific City next to my best friend and wonderful partner- Brett Lichtenthaler who makes every effort, every day to love and support me. I am thankful for the amazing things in my life: A great job. A great life partner. A great team. #TeamRWB A great family. (Also Team RWB.) 😉 My kick-ass health. And my undying passion and motivation to bring the proverbial it at every opportunity. I am one of the luckiest. Have a happy new year. See you in 2015.
