34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35 (KJV) Just before Jesus left the earth to return to His Father he said to his disciples and to all who would believe on him as saviour and Lord, that we must love each other.. The word love, agapao, has a full meaning , to be full of good-will and to exhibit the same... If we do not truly love some one or if as some teach, love them but you dont have to like them, this is not true love in the way Jesus commanded that we should love each other and therefore we have changed the word of God to fit our lives because the definition of command is a prescribed in accordance with which a thing is done .. .... When Satan tempted Eve in the garden he pursued her that really God had not quite said what she thought he said, and therefore changed the word of God..... If we, and by we I mean more I than we, if we follow the teaching that we must love them but do not have to love them, then I am afraid we have heeded to the voice of Satan and this world, and ignored the voice of God..... Lord forgive me for turning from the simple truth of your word and by your Spirit help me to love the brethren as you have always loved me....amen
