34 yrs ago George Joseph LaRose was laid to rest in a paper casket 😩 even as a teenager I knew it was the cheapest casket available (social assistance or homeless people are buried in these) and frankly I was hurt and appalled that such a generous, caring, handsome, funny, and charismatic man (my dad) would be laid to rest in such an inexpensive box! The 7 of us had absolutely no voice in the funeral arrangements and were not included in the limo ride as is customary for family 😩 We were also forced to sit on the side of the church designated for friends....NOT FAMILY 👎 We took that in stride as we were grieving the loss of our patriarch however, each wanted a memoir of our father and it nvr came!!! I would have settled for a cuff link, a tie, a pair of socks, anything!!!! That lil gesture would have made such a difference alas, it nvr came! I DO HOWEVER HAVE SOME PRECIOUS MEMORIES ❤️ Ive let go of the hurt and anger .... Although I will NVR forget how we were treated as his children 😢 RIP dad ❤️ love and miss you!!!
