350.org The vast majority of Poles want their country to take strong action on climate change and shift to renewable energy. According to a poll commissioned by Avaaz, 88 % of Poles agree that Poland should focus on building its own renewable energy supplies, and 67% agree that climate change is a threat to their own or their children’s lifestyle. Thats why new dirty energy projects such as Elektrownia Północ - the largest new coal plant planned in Europe - must be stopped. Coal will never give energy independence to Poland nor prevent it from dealing with a terrible fate.
