36) Deu 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; Deu 18:16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. The people feared God. They didnt want to stand before him because they knew he would kill them because they were evil. In stead of changing their hearts to follow him, like Moses, they rejected him and didnt want to hear from him. How much like that is our world today? They want God to fit their mold and when he doesnt, they reject him. Joh 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. Joh 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. Joh 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? This is often a mistake I make. I expect all people to act like Christians and they are not. I expect them to be honest, loveable, kind. I expect them to act like Christ. I get disappointed when they dont. I am even more upset when a Christian doesnt act like Christ. They dont know his word, so they cant act like him. They claim the name but they lie. They backbite. They gossip. They do all kinds of unChrist like things. I know I mess up. I get that. But if you are not in his word learning about him, you cant act like him. You can not claim his name and then act like the world. He will not allow it forever. If you are his child, if you claim to be a Christian, than you had better learn him and act like him. There is such a thing as sinning unto death. 1Jn 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. You can not be a child of God, claim his name and act like the world. If you do, you are not really his child. Jas 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. If you are acting like the world, if God shows you, if you are open to being shown that you act like the world, please check your salvation. He will tolerate it a little while, while he tries to bring you closer to him. But he wont let it go forever. He is a just God and he will not allow his name to be brought down.
