36 weeks pregnant – 4 weeks to go till our grand-daughter is born. The daughter of Bethany Dawn Hansis-Windham and Damond Windham is gaining about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long (about the size of a head of romaine lettuce). Shes shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Most likely shes in a head-down position, but if not, their practitioner may suggest scheduling an external cephalic version (ECV). In an ECV, the practitioner applies pressure to Bethanys abdomen to manually manipulate their baby into a head-down position. We cant hardly wait until we meet face to face the little lady.
