365 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA Day 267, August 4, 2013 If PRAYER is changing me, PRAYER can change AMERICA!! A GOOD DAY FOR FAMILY FELLOWSHIP I have always enjoyed family fellowship times and I really do miss the older generation who knew how to “get together” around the table. Mother said that Papa (Thomas J. Harris) often remarked that, “He didn’t want die in debt to his stomach.” Remember when we sang from Hymn Books and the old song, “What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms.” This wonderful gospel song reminds us of the fellowship we enjoy with CHRIST JESUS. Our fellowship with GOD is the most important relationship that we have in life! Our spiritual vitality depends on our fellowship with HIM. When we have our proper fellowship with GOD then our fellowship with HIS children is a natural result. More than a fringe benefit, it is a family of brothers and sisters in CHRIST. The Apostle Paul lists, by name, some 100 individuals in his different epistles with which he shared the fellowship of faith. In Colossians 4:7-18, Paul talks about some of his friends in Christian fellowship. He describes them as Beloved; a faithful minister; fellow servant; fellow brother; prisoner; fellow workers; prayer warriors; and beloved Physician. These friends of the faith were varied in background and culture. Jew and Gentiles were included among his associates. There was not a class distinction or a moment’s notice given to social order. Some faithful fellowship friends were slaves, while others were professionals, as a physician. Although there were various levels of success for each of these friends, yet they were all fellow workers. Paul appreciated the efforts of each one. Do you have a list of those in your fellowship group and have you told them lately how much you appreciate them and their work for the LORD. We must continue to develop a fellowship with the FATHER and with HIS family! David said he was glad when he went to the House of the LORD! I hope to see you in Church this morning!!
