365 days in music you need to know. Day 2/365 (the actual post for today) This is the opening track from The Hellacopters debut album Supershitty to the Max! ...and talk about a statement of intent. In 96, when this album was originally released, singer/guitarist Nicke Andersson was still flirting with the traditional Stockholm Sound of famed Sunlight Studios - best known as the location of recordings from Unleashed, Dismember, Grave, and more, including Nickes former band Entombed with whom he played drums prior to starting the Copters with fellow Swedish musician Dregen of Backyard Babies. This album features all of the Detroit-style frenetic energy and fuzz of early Stooges and MC5 with a Motorhead-like pace, yetdecidedly Swedish. The US version, released on Mans Ruin, featured original art by the famed Frank Kozik. Enjoy. https://youtube/watch?v=fADaagZLxc0
