While a salt mine perhaps doesnt sound like an interesting place to visit, there is a reason Business Insider ranked Salina Turda the most beautiful underground place in the world. For, as youll soon see, 368 feet below the ground lies something absolutely breathtaking. The salt mine dates back to the 17th century, but since 1992, it has been a very popular tourist attraction. Its almost unbelievable how much there is to do at Salina Turda. Salina Turda includes three mines, all host to tons of activities; a contemporary art museum, big wheel, mini-golf course, bowling alley, sports arena, amphitheatre, pool table, table tennis, childrens play area, and a wharf for boating in the underground lake are all attractions at Salina Turda. The mines are a great place for people with allergies or respiratory illnesses to visit, as there are almost no allergens or bacteria, and there are spa treatments available. The salt mine is very therapeutic, and offers many rehabilitation therapies. The Salina Turda salt mine museum looks absolutely incredible. Given the opportunity, it would be a fantastic place to visit. One thing is for sure, youd never get bored!
