#38: Fail Better by Clock Opera Another British band, Clock Opera formed in 2009 and to date has a single album to their name, but I’m eagerly awaiting their next one. The song “Fail Better” takes it’s name from an excerpt from Samuel Beckets epic poem “Worstward Ho”. It combines the inspiring words that adorn a thousand posters and paperweights “Ever Tried, Ever failed. No matter, Try again, Fail again, Fail Better” with a cheerful and bright melody pounded out with great sincerity and love. It’s something I play when I need encouragement, which seems to be a lot these days.
