$390 million in tax payer money to create a data exchange that the major HHS players were not fully entrenched in throughout the implementation process is a direct reflection of the lack of attention to detail and inability to truly wrap their (bipartisan) heads and arms around all of the layers associated with the need for real health care reform. It is time to give real/live health care providers/professionals a seat at the decision making table prior to (as opposed to after) moving forward with any more health care reform ideals. I am officially beyond frustrated with this whole dang process. All I have to say is that HHS and CMS need to do a better job of policing themselves before they throw any more stones around their glass house. Lots of folks walking around with glass splinters in their butts right about now (in Atlanta and Washington). I hope the key players accept responsibility responsibly and these spots become vacant sooner than later. Signed: Concerned/Tax Paying Citizen.
