3DS Virtual Console Clu Clu Land (Nintendo, $4.99): The early NES launch title joins the VC Threepeat Club on 3DS, last seen on Wii U VC back in October last year! Clu Clu Land is an action puzzler, in which you’re a bubble fish named Bubbles (Groopy in Japan), who swims around in a maze trying to uncover all the gold bars called Ingots. In a way, it’s sort of like Pac-Man with swinging. Bubbles later appeared as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, while an arranged version of the NES music and the Unira enemy appeared as an item in Brawl. She’s also a secret character in the GBA title DK: King of Swing (which was inspired by Clu Clu Land). Recently, Clu Clu Land was one of the NES games included in the Wii U eShop title NES Remix.
