(3rd post) To bring together people dedicated to improving education and academic services, FEU-EAC conducted a seminar for Guidance Counselors last September 12, 2012, at the Audio-Visual room, FEU-EAC Main Building. Headed by the Admissions and External Relations Office (AERO), the seminar gathered 43 guidance counselors from secondary schools in the National Capital Region, Region 3, and Region 4A. Entitled “Best Practices in School Guidance Counseling,” the activity included a lecture and a workshop intended to enhance the participants’ appreciation and understanding of practicing their profession. The seminar was facilitated by Ms. Consolacion “Chit” J. Concepcion, a Member of the Board of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association, Inc. Ms. Concepcion encouraged participants to focus their guidance programs on achieving their schools’ mission/vision statements and establish channels of authority, responsibility, and accountability. She also focused on making the group aware of their common grounds in the practice of their field.
