I remember being at a Hungerstrike anniversary commemorative night in Clonoe many years ago with Francie, the man who wrote and sings this song, his wife Ann and Bik McFarlane whod just been released from gaol. We sang and wiled the night away together and this was one of the tunes and will always be dear to me because of that night...
