4: 47 PM | Tehreek-i-Hurriyat alleges harassment, detentions by Army in Bandipora The Tehreek-i-Hurriyat (TeH) headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani, has alleged that personals of Army’s Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Aloosa camp have waged atrocities and brutalities’ in north Kashmir’s Bandipora. TeH member Ghulam Nabi Ganai, in a statement, said, “The central office of TeH has received reports that the RR soldiers have created reign of terror and fear in the villages of Aloosa, Keenso and Rashtengu. They forcibly entered houses, thrash residents, and harass them.” “The RR personals have arrested Ashiq Hussain Wani and Saif-ud-Din Ahanger from Aloosa, Nazim Mir and Muhammad Lateef from Keenso, Zahid Ahmad Shiekh and Abdul Rashid Reshi from Rashtengu. They have been detained in Army camp and their families are deeply concerned about their safety,” he said in the statement.
